Author Guidelines

1. Submission of Manuscripts

  • Manuscripts should be submitted in Word format
  • Each submission must include:
    • An abstract of 100–150 words
    • Five keywords
    • A short author profile (affiliation and brief bio)

2. Article Requirements

  • Manuscripts must address the research issue, method, results, and discussion.
  • The maximum length is 7,500 words (longer articles may be considered at the discretion of the editors).
  • All manuscripts must be written in proper English.
    • Non-native speakers should have their manuscripts proofread by a native speaker prior to submission.

3. Review and Publication Process

  • All submissions are peer-reviewed.
  • If accepted, the author must provide a final draft in publishable English.
  • Proofs will be sent to the author by email.
    • Proof corrections should be limited to typographical errors and must be returned within one week.
    • Substantive changes require approval from the editors.

4. References, Notes, and Style

  • Footnotes: Use only when essential and not easily integrated into the text.
  • In-text references: (Author year: page number).
  • Bibliography: Must follow APA format.
  • Punctuation: American style. Use “double quotation marks” for direct quotations and ‘single quotation marks’ for quotations within quotations.

5. Formatting and Layout

  • Main text: Times New Roman, size 10
  • Block quotes, footnotes, and bibliography: Times New Roman, size 9
  • Page margins: Top/Bottom 5.1 cm, Left 5.4 cm, Right 4.4 cm
  • Headings: Bold; Subheadings: Italic (not bold)
  • Headings should be numbered (e.g., 1, 2, 3).

6. Copyright and Author Rights

  • Copyright of all published articles belongs to Peeters Publishers and Booksellers.
  • Authors wishing to reuse material must acknowledge its original publication in Studies in Interreligious Dialogue.
  • The editors are not responsible for the opinions expressed; authors bear full responsibility for their claims.

7. Author Benefits

  • Authors will receive:
    • An electronic offprint of their article
    • A complimentary print copy of the issue in which their article appears

Before submitting, please ensure that your manuscript meets the following requirements:

  • Manuscript prepared in Word format
  • Abstract (100–150 words) included
  • Five keywords provided
  • Short author profile included
  • Article does not exceed 7,500 words (unless approved by editors)
  • Written in proper English and proofread (if applicable by a native speaker)
  • References formatted in APA style
  • Footnotes used sparingly
  • Layout follows journal style (font, margins, headings)
  • Final draft ready for peer review and editorial checks
